Kokedama is a style of Japanese bonsaiĀ in whichĀ a plant's root system is wrapped in moss and bound with string, transforming it into a living sculpture. Loosely translated, kokeĀ means 'moss' and dama means 'ball'. These decorative hanging plants are a strikingly beautifulĀ accent for any room at home.Ā There are many different plants that can thrive inĀ aĀ kokedamaĀ planting, and in this class, we'll explore some of the different options.
This is a hands-on workshop and includes everything needed to create two kokedamas. WorkshopsĀ are taking place next door to Glasswing in the Melrose Market, 1527 Melrose Ave.
